Dr. Goodyear’s Great Detox Tips
October 23rd, 2011My clients repeatedly ask me about staying in good health. I have amassed a growing list of body detox tips, which I now give to all clients. Following are 3 of those ideas.
Take Care of Your Liver! Contemporary living constantly weakens the liver - the essential organ for detox. I advise you to be constantly pampering and cleansing your liver on a regular basis. A plan for accomplishing this would be by doing a 2-day master cleanse diet each month. Another way is to squeeze half a lemon and put the juice in a cup of warm water first thing every morning. Keep your stress levels low and consume dietary fats moderately.
Drink More Water. It is shocking and verifiable that most of us experience chronic mild dehydration! Researchers in the medical arena are learning that a part of most illnesses is dehydration. Water is a natural detox method, cleansing toxins and waste from the organs, cells and tissues of our body. Everyone needs to consume clean water daily — not coffee or sodas or sugary fruit drinks. Aspire to drink 3 quarts a day.
Eat Fresh Fruits and Vegetables Every Day. In addition to clean water, the enzymes of raw fruits and vegetables are potent detoxers. If you’re not consuming a raw salad at least once a day, change that and incorporate a new lifestyle habit. Fresh fruit daily is an additional method to detox your body without all the bother of a detox program. Prevention, remember, is the secret to great health.
